Roofing in Eye
Eye is a village just north-east of Peterborough, on the edge of the open fens. The flat, open fenland leaves roofs exposed to strong winds, so ridges, verges and loose tiles take a battering every winter. We also cover nearby Peterborough, Crowland and Glinton.
- Clay pantile and concrete tile repairs and re-roofs
- Same-day make-safe after storms where possible
- Fascias and gutters cleared and repaired
What we do in Eye
Do you do roof repairs in Eye?
Yes. Eye (PE6) is about 3 miles from our Peterborough base, and we cover it for roof repairs, new roofs, flat roofs, leadwork and chimneys. Call free on 0800 193 9030 or WhatsApp us for a free roof check.
How quickly can a roofer get to Eye?
We aim to attend roof emergencies in Eye the same day where possible, Monday to Saturday. Free roof checks are usually booked within a few days.
What should I do if tiles blow off my roof in Eye?
Stay off the roof and keep clear of the area below. Photograph the damage from the ground, call your insurer if it was storm damage, and call or WhatsApp us for a same-day make-safe where possible.
Why do roofs in Eye suffer wind damage?
Open fenland gives little shelter, so wind uplift is strong at ridges, verges and eaves. Tiles held only by old mortar are the first to go. We refix them mechanically, as BS 5534 requires.
