Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy
We win work on quality, price and reputation, never through bribes or improper influence. This policy applies to everyone who works for us or on our behalf.
1. Our commitment
Upsize Property Renovation Ltd has zero tolerance of bribery and corruption and complies with the Bribery Act 2010. We take reasonable steps to prevent bribery by anyone acting on our behalf.
2. What is not allowed
- Offering, promising or giving a bribe to anyone, including client staff, public officials, residents or suppliers
- Asking for or accepting a bribe, a kickback or any improper payment
- Facilitation payments to speed up routine actions
- Using cash payments or intermediaries to hide improper payments
3. Gifts and hospitality
Modest, occasional gifts and hospitality (such as branded items or a working lunch) are acceptable if they are open, reasonable and not intended to influence a decision. Anything over £50 in value, or any gift offered during a tender, must be approved by the Director and recorded in our gifts register. We never offer gifts to residents, or accept them from residents.
4. Conflicts of interest
Employees must declare any personal interest, such as a relative working for a client, supplier or subcontractor, that could affect, or appear to affect, their decisions.
5. Supply chain and records
We expect subcontractors and suppliers to follow the same standards, and we keep accurate financial records of all payments.
6. Reporting
Report any suspicion of bribery to the Director at alex@upsizeproperty.com, or under our Whistleblowing Policy. Nobody will suffer for refusing to pay a bribe or for reporting a concern in good faith.
7. Review
Breaches may lead to disciplinary action, termination of contracts and referral to the authorities. This policy is reviewed annually by the Director.
