Whistleblowing Policy
If you see something wrong, we want to know. You can raise a concern without fear of being treated badly.
1. What you can report
This policy covers concerns about:
- danger to health and safety
- modern slavery, exploitation or illegal working
- bribery, fraud or financial wrongdoing
- damage to the environment
- harm to residents, including safeguarding concerns
- breaking the law or covering any of the above up
Personal grievances about your own employment are dealt with through our grievance procedure instead.
2. How to raise a concern
- Raise it with the Director, Alexandru Balan, in person, by phone on 0800 193 9030 or by email at alex@upsizeproperty.com.
- Tell us what happened, when and who was involved. You do not need proof, only a reasonable belief.
- We will acknowledge your concern within 5 working days, investigate, and tell you the outcome as far as we can.
If you do not feel able to raise it with us, you can contact the relevant regulator, such as the HSE for safety concerns, or the charity Protect (protect-advice.org.uk) for free, confidential advice.
3. Your protection
Workers who raise concerns in good faith are protected under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998. We will keep your identity confidential wherever possible, and nobody will be dismissed, disciplined or treated unfairly for raising a genuine concern. Making a deliberately false report is a disciplinary matter.
4. Review
This policy applies to employees, subcontractors and suppliers, and is reviewed annually by the Director.
This policy is issued by Upsize Property Renovation Ltd (Company no. 15856524, registered office 4 Blenheim Court, Suite 595, Peterborough, PE1 2DU). It is available to employees, subcontractors and clients, and a signed copy is available on request. Questions: alex@upsizeproperty.com.
